From September 21 to 24, the 2023 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference was successfully held at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Pavilion). TRUNK.TECH showcased its leading Autonomous Driving Trucks and Autonomous Driving Domain Controllers. Prof. Zhang Tianlei, Chairman and CEO of TRUNK.TECH, was invited to the conference to deliver a keynote speech. He engaged in discussions with industry guests from home and abroad on the commercialization progress and prospects of autonomous driving, which attracted the active attention of the attending guests.
The World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference, themed "Gathering Momentum, Collaborating for Innovation - Embarking on a New Journey to Commercial Application," has been held for six consecutive years. It is the first national-level intelligent connected vehicle professional conference in China approved by the State Council and is the world's largest and most influential international platform for cooperation, exchange, and showcasing of achievements. At the venue, TRUNK.TECH's AiTrucks and Autonomous Driving Domain Controllers attracted keen attention and interaction from numerous leaders and professional visitors at this conference, illustrating how artificial intelligence technology can drive the transformation and upgrading of the transportation industry.
At the current stage, artificial intelligence technology has entered a leapfrog development phase. Cutting-edge technologies such as AI large models are propelling the intelligent connected commercial vehicle industry to accelerate high-quality upgrades and transformations, thereby driving the intelligent and low-carbon revolution in the transportation and logistics industries.
In his speech titled "The Road to Commercialization of Intelligent Trucks," Prof. Zhang Tianlei mentioned that logistics, as the lifeline of the national economy, is facing a critical period of upgrading from a traditional industry to a smart logistics industry. With intelligent trucks entering more diverse application scenarios, the development of smart logistics is timely, and the commercialization process of logistics autonomous driving is continuously accelerating. The industry's ability to reduce costs and increase efficiency is further enhanced, and a new era of smart logistics is approaching.
At the same time, he shared how TRUNK.TECH, using L4 Autonomous Driving Technology as an entry point and AiTrucks as the core, is facing three types of logistics scenarios: closed logistics hub scenarios, semi-open highway scenarios, and urban open scenarios. Utilizing technology, products, and targeted solutions, they aim to achieve the unmanned and intelligent logistics scenarios of autonomous driving trucks, creating a new paradigm for intelligent transportation.
Currently, based on a full chain strategy loop of "Technology + Product + Operation," TRUNK.TECH has successfully launched the "AiTrucker" L4 Autonomous Driving System. More than 200 AiTrucks are already conducting commercial operations nationwide, achieving large-scale deployment and implementation in logistics hubs such as various ports and border crossings, as well as on multiple highways. Collaborating with leading enterprises in the industry, including Tianjin Port, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Hefei Port, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China Storage & Transportation Corporation, Deppon Express, and STO Express, the cumulative test and operation mileage has exceeded ten million kilometers.
Additionally, TRUNK.TECH continuously upgrades the research and application of autonomous driving platooning technology. The company's high-speed intelligent truck platooning project has started regular testing and operational demonstration on the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Expressway. Utilizing its exclusive "Trunk CAFC" Connected Autonomous Freight Convoy, in collaboration with partners like China Merchants Highway, TRUNK.TECH is accelerating the construction of a smart freight corridor between Beijing and Tianjin, and subsequently forming a nationwide autonomous driving freight network.
TRUNK.TECH will adhere to its original intention of empowering the development of smart logistics with outstanding autonomous driving technology, assisting China's logistics industry in its intelligent and low-carbon transformation, and continuously advancing towards an era of unmanned intelligent freight transportation. The company aims to make China's intelligent driving a world-renowned brand.
