Recently, the China Navigation Society's group standard "Intelligent Container Trailer" (T/CIN 009-2023), jointly formulated by TRUNK.TECH and the Water Transport Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and other units, has been officially released. This standard focuses on the intelligent container trailer, the main transportation carrier of smart ports, and effectively and clearly establishes the full process product standards for intelligent container trailers from design to production to application, laying an important foundation for the country to build a world-class green, intelligent, and sustainable development smart port.
At present, the construction and development of China's smart ports have gathered the three major elements of "favorable timing," "geographical advantage," and "harmonious people," making it the best time for the intelligent transformation and upgrading of ports. With the strong support and guidance of national policies and the accelerated integration of port group resources, the practice and large-scale construction of smart ports have laid an important foundation. At the same time, cutting-edge technologies represented by new-generation artificial intelligence and unmanned driving technology are rapidly landing, providing strong technical conditions for the informatization, digitalization, automation, and intelligentization of ports. The construction of smart ports has entered the "fast lane," and more than ten large ports in China have completed the construction and upgrade of automated container terminals. The standard stipulates the product classification, composition, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for intelligent container trailers. It effectively guides and regulates the design, manufacturing, and use of intelligent container trailers. The formulation and release of this standard fully comply with the overall requirements for high-quality port development in the "Outline for Building a Strong Transportation Country," "National Standardization Development Outline," and "Transportation Standardization Development Plan for the 14th Five-Year Plan." It is of great significance for promoting the deep integration of autonomous driving technology with the transportation industry, advancing the intelligent development of ports, and leading the construction of smart ports.
