Recently, Tianjin Port Group was officially approved by Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission to expand the Port Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone (Phase I) to Tianjin Port Eurasia International Container Terminal. This is another important milestone after the cooperation between TRUNK.TECH and Tianjin Port since 2020, which marks the accelerated advancement of Tianjin Port Group in the enhancement of horizontal transportation intelligence, and contributes to the upgrading and transformation of the whole process automation of traditional terminals again with "Tianjin Port Wisdom".
As a strategic partner of Tianjin Port Group, TRUNK.TECH has continued to help Tianjin Port build a world-class intelligent green port hub since 2017. The two sides started from the establishment of Academician Li Deyi's expert workstation, and integrated leading artificial intelligence driverless technology into the horizontal transportation business of container terminals, from the world's first driverless electric collector truck trial operation to the industry's largest scale of artificial intelligence horizontal transportation robots in normalized operation. From the trial operation of the world's first driverless electric container truck to the regular operation of the industry's largest artificial intelligence horizontal transportation robot, the two sides have cooperated to realize the upgrading and transformation of the whole process automation of a traditional container terminal and constructed it into the country's first port autopilot demonstration area; and completed the official commissioning and operation of the world's first intelligent zero-carbon terminal in Section C of Tianjin Port, leading the world's automated container terminals to enter the 2.0 era.
Tianjin Port Port Automated Driving Demonstration Area (Phase I) Expansion Area - Tianjin Port Eurasia International Container Terminal is a traditional container terminal with 3 professional container berths, equipped with 11 shore bridges and 37 field bridges. The quay shoreline is 1,100 meters long, with the ability to receive and unload 200,000 tons of container ships around the clock. The construction of the expansion area of the demonstration area will re-plan the operation process and supporting facilities of the Eurasia International Container Terminal, study the full-process automation operation process based on single trolley remote-controlled shorebridge + automated four-rope tire-type yard bridge + horizontal transport robot (ART), as well as charging area, PB buffer zone, unlocking station layout process, to satisfy all the application scenarios of the full-process automation operation, and actively explore the It also actively explores the application of limited mixing scenarios, and ultimately forms an operating environment in which internal and external collector trucks are safe to drive, vehicles and roads interact in a friendly manner, and the horizontal transportation equipment is suitable for the safe operation of the self-driving horizontal transportation equipment. At the same time, through iterative optimization of the technology of self-driving horizontal transportation equipment, it will gradually adapt to the whole scene, chain and cycle of traditional container terminal operation, and build a new ecology for the application of self-driving horizontal transportation equipment.
At present, more than ten intelligent transportation robots supported by driverless technology of TRUNK.TECH have started the whole process of operation in Eurasia International Container Terminal. Based on the independently developed "AiTrucker" L4 automatic driving software and hardware system and the original "multi-traffic participant mixing game algorithm", it can effectively eliminate the uncertainty brought by the algorithm prediction results, complex traffic flow and human driver's driving behavior. It can effectively eliminate the uncertainty caused by algorithm prediction results, complex traffic flow and human driver's driving behavior, and equip intelligent transportation robots with the ability of fully unmanned, all-weather, all-process, multi-group mixed operation in real complex operation scenarios in ports, and then support the efficient and large-scale deployment and operation of intelligent transportation robots, which can truly achieve plug-and-play and flexible operation, and significantly improve the efficiency and safety of terminal operation, and lay a solid technological foundation for the realization of the upgrading of the traditional container terminals.
In the next step, TRUNK.TECH will continue to support Tianjin Port Group to build a world-class intelligent and green port hub with professional and leading unmanned technology products and services, to serve the national intelligent port and the realization of the strategic goal of a strong nation of transportation, and to lead the upgrade of global ports in digital intelligence with the "China Solution".
